KPV is the short tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, selected for research on inflammatory response and protective processes in tissues. It is of particular interest in projects involving intestinal epithelial cells, macrophages and signalling associated with alpha-MSH.
The small, stable molecule dissolves readily in water, making it a convenient material for comparative laboratory work. Each vial contains 10 mg of lyophilisate and every batch is linked to a certificate of analysis.
Form: lyophilised powder, white, in a glass vial with a butyl rubber stopper and an aluminium seal. Content: 10 mg of peptide per vial. Purity: not less than 99 % by HPLC, identity confirmed by mass spectrometry. Chemical form: acetate salt of the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val.
The peptide dissolves readily in water, so preparing concentrated solutions calls for no organic solvent. Every vial carries a batch number linked to its certificate of analysis; shipping is from a warehouse in Poland.
Keep the sealed vial at −20 °C, in a dry place shielded from light. Short sequences are more stable than long ones, but the lyophilisate is still hygroscopic – open the vial only once it has reached room temperature, so that moisture does not settle on the powder.
Laboratory reconstitution is usually done with bacteriostatic water or sterile laboratory water, added slowly down the wall of the vial. Swirl the vial gently until dissolved; do not shake. Keep the solution at 2–8 °C, protected from light, and for longer storage split it into aliquots and freeze them, so that repeated freeze-thaw cycles are avoided.
This product is intended for research and laboratory purposes only. It is not a medicinal product, a food supplement, a cosmetic or a medical device, and it is not approved for use in humans or in animals.
