DSIP, known as delta sleep-inducing peptide, is a research material most often associated with sleep and rest. It is selected for projects exploring sleep architecture, circadian rhythm, stress response and neuroendocrine regulation.
Published findings vary between experimental models, so DSIP remains an interesting but still exploratory research direction. Each vial contains 5 mg of synthetic peptide with verified purity and is intended strictly for research work.
Form: lyophilised powder in a type I glass vial with a chlorobutyl rubber stopper and an aluminium seal. Content: 5 mg of peptide per vial. Purity: not less than 98% by HPLC. Appearance: white, compact cake, free of discolouration and visible particles.
Sequence: Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu. A certificate of analysis with HPLC and mass spectrometry results is issued for every batch. Vials are packed individually and without solvent; bacteriostatic water is ordered separately.
The unopened lyophilisate is stored at -20 °C, in the dark and at low humidity. The peptide carries a tryptophan residue that is sensitive to light and oxidation, so vials should not be left in daylight or near heat sources.
Reconstitution is carried out with bacteriostatic or sterile water, added slowly down the wall of the vial and without shaking. DSIP dissolves readily in aqueous solution; if it is slow to clear, a few minutes at room temperature is preferable to vigorous mixing. The solution is kept at 2-8 °C, protected from light, and for longer holding it is divided into aliquots so that repeated freeze-thaw cycles are avoided. The usable life of the solution is established by the laboratory own stability protocol.
