Form: lyophilised powder in a type I glass vial closed with a chlorobutyl rubber stopper and an aluminium seal. Content: 5 mg or 10 mg of peptide per vial depending on the variant selected. Purity: not less than 98% by HPLC. Appearance: white to off-white cake, free of visible particles.
Sequence: Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro. Every batch leaves the manufacturer with analytical documentation covering HPLC and mass spectrometry. Vials are packed individually; bacteriostatic water is not included and is ordered separately.
Unopened vials of lyophilisate are kept at -20 °C, protected from light and moisture; short periods at ambient temperature in transit do not degrade the material. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening so that moisture does not condense on the cold cake.
For laboratory reconstitution, bacteriostatic water or sterile water is added slowly down the inner wall of the vial. The stream is never directed onto the cake and the vial is not shaken, since foaming denatures the peptide; a gentle swirl until the solution is clear is sufficient. Reconstituted material is held at 2-8 °C away from light and treated as usable for a limited period, normally counted in weeks, with the exact figure confirmed by the laboratory own stability protocol.
