A key coenzyme for projects exploring cellular energy, metabolism and ageing-related processes.
NAD+ 500 IU or 1000 IU – an essential coenzyme for research on cellular energy, metabolism and enzyme activity. Lyophilised vial.
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme present in every cell, involved in redox reactions and a substrate for sirtuins and PARP.

NAD+ is a naturally occurring coenzyme essential to many reactions involved in energy production and enzyme function. Laboratories value it in projects on cellular metabolism, ageing processes, sirtuins, PARP and enzyme-based assays.
Larger 500 IU and 1000 IU vials are available for series of assays that require more reagent. The material is supplied as lyophilised powder and is intended for research use only.
Form: lyophilised powder, white to slightly yellowish, in a glass vial with a butyl rubber stopper and an aluminium seal. Available variants: a 500 IU vial and a 1000 IU vial. Purity: not less than 98 % by HPLC. The substance is strongly hygroscopic.
Every batch is supplied with a certificate of analysis matching the number on the label. The material ships from a warehouse in Poland; orders for 1000 IU vials include a cold pack as standard.
Keep the sealed vial at −20 °C, in a dry place shielded from light. Because the powder is strongly hygroscopic, open the vial only after it has reached room temperature and close it immediately after taking material out; moisture absorbed from the air understates the true coenzyme content of a weighed sample.
Laboratory dissolution uses bacteriostatic water or sterile laboratory water, added slowly down the wall of the vial and mixed by gentle swirling rather than shaking. NAD+ is markedly less stable in alkaline conditions than in neutral or slightly acidic ones, so solutions should not be prepared in high-pH buffers. Keep the prepared solution at 2–8 °C, shielded from light, and use it within a short period; divide portions for longer storage into aliquots and freeze them.
This product is intended for research and laboratory purposes only. It is not a medicinal product, a food supplement, a cosmetic or a medical device, and it is not approved for use in humans or in animals. It is not suitable for consumption, for administration by any route, or for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
The reagent is intended for qualified laboratory personnel. Avoid inhaling dust when weighing out material, and work with personal protective equipment. Keep out of the reach of children.
Mechanism
Not a peptide but a nucleotide, and handled differently.
